Throughout my career, I’ve focused on scaling healthcare technology organizations by combining operational execution, customer obsession, and innovation that delivers measurable results.

I strongly believe the best ideas come from employees and customers closest to the mission. That is why I maintain an open-door leadership style built on transparency, accountability, collaboration, and action.

Healthcare technology is evolving rapidly, and the companies that win will be the ones that move fastest, listen best, and execute consistently. We intend to be one of those companies.

I believe the best companies create a reinforcing cycle: great people create great customer experiences, and a strong connection to customers gives great people something meaningful to build toward.

At Optivate, I’m focused on both. That means staying close to what our customers are experiencing, understanding where we can make their lives easier, and making sure we follow through on the things that matter to them. It also means surrounding myself with sharp, driven leaders, setting a clear direction, and giving them the space to do their best work.

My background in private equity, strategy, and investment banking shapes how I approach the business: understanding what drives performance, making thoughtful tradeoffs, and directing resources toward the opportunities that matter most. That perspective informs how I lead our professional services, customer success, finance, and operations teams.

Outside of work, I’m usually testing dad jokes on my wife, trying to make “dada” my daughter’s first word, and convincing my son that he does, in fact, love soccer.

Gus has been with EyeMD EMR, now Optivate, since 2009, starting as Vice President of Sales & Business Development. He now serves as Chief Growth Officer, where he leads the company’s client acquisition, partnerships, and market expansion efforts. Known for his ability to build lasting client relationships, Gus is driven by a client-first philosophy — his true passion is seeing clients succeed and ensuring their needs are always at the center of everything he does. He brings more than two decades of experience across the healthcare and medical practice management landscape.

Before Optivate, Gus served as Client Acquisition Manager at a large medical billing and recovery firm. His background also includes roles as Supervisor of Premium Accounts Receivable at a major insurance company, Practice Implementation Manager for a physician consulting company, Office & Clinical Trials Administrator for a prestigious practice, and Independent Medical Practice Consultant. He also played a key role in the development and eventual sale of Infusatrack™.

Outside of work, Gus spends time with friends and family and stays active in his community. He finds great fulfillment in mentoring others and staying engaged through professional networking groups.

Jessica joined the team in 2009 as Business Manager and, alongside Gus Savloff, co-founded Optivate’s Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) division in 2022. Today, as President of RCM, she oversees daily operations with a relentless focus on maximizing practice revenue, securing every entitled incentive, and safeguarding clients against financial penalties.

With deep roots as a former practice manager and owner of SW FL Billing & Recovery, Jessica understands the daily realities of running an ophthalmic practice firsthand. Her background spans every corner of the industry—from the optical shop floor to complex insurance audits. This extensive front-line experience enables her and the RCM team to deliver actionable, real-world solutions rather than theoretical advice.

Outside of optimizing practice performance, Jessica spends her time on the water: fishing, sailing, scuba diving, and snorkeling with her family. She is a proud mom to a tech-minded son and a fiercely independent daughter, stays active in multiple church ministries, and tries her best to lead by example in everything she does.

As CTO, Steve drives the technology vision behind Optivate’s next-generation solutions for our ophthalmology and eye center practices. He brings more than 25 years of healthcare technology leadership, including executive roles at leading healthcare analytics, EMR, RCM, and virtual care companies, where he led engineering, product development, quality assurance, IT, security, and AI consulting and delivery. His career began in software development at a national behavioral health organization and a regional health system, specializing in technology architecture and data integration.

For Steve, leadership means owning outcomes and earning trust, building accountability so customers and colleagues can count on measurable results and lasting partnerships. He views technology as a means to an end: giving eye care organizations scalable, secure tools so they can focus on patients, not administrative complexity.

Outside of work, Steve loves spending time with his family, including his 3 children, and collecting sports cards and memorabilia.

When I was looking for my next role, one of Optivate’s core values stopped me: partner with practices to prioritize care. It named something I’d always believed but rarely seen written down, that the best work happens side-by-side with the people you serve, not at a distance from them. I joined because I wanted to build a team that lives that value from the inside out, for the eye care providers we support and for each other.

Behind every practice we partner with is a team under real pressure: clinicians, technicians, and staff who need the tools, the training, and the workplace to match the precision their patients depend on. My job is to make sure the people inside Optivate can meet that responsibility and that the culture around them is worth showing up for. I believe culture isn’t a perk or a poster; it’s built-in the small, daily choices about how people are hired, developed, trusted, and heard. And it’s built the same way we build our solutions: by listening, testing, and refining together.

Over more than 27 years across healthcare and operations, I’ve learned that the strongest teams aren’t the ones without hard conversations, they’re the ones brave enough to have them well. I’ve spent my career building the quiet infrastructure that lets that happen through clear expectations, real development, and steady leadership that holds up when things get hard. I’m at my best in mission-driven work like this, where taking care of our people and prioritizing the patient and those who care for them, turn out to be the very same thing.
